The transformation of Thaler from stop-gap system to strategic platform at NS&I has been highly notable. The challenges of the exercise should not be under-estimated, as NS/NS&I brought significant volumes and a unique set of functional requirements. And this was against a backdrop of the major shift of the institution from in-house to outsource provider. The success story is testimony to the many people involved, from supplier, user, NS&I and SBS.
The end of the migration of NS&I’s product set is in sight and it should be well placed as it looks to the future.
